The “2008 Japan Culture Week” was opened in the Nanjing Culture and Art Center which is co-organized by Japan Consulate-General Shanghai and Nanjing’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
As a highlight of the activity, the “Communication between Doraemon—Cartoon Ambassador and Nanjing Pupils” attracted about 400 pupils. When Nobita and Doraemon acted by real people appeared in the music hall of the Nanjing Culture and Art Center, the children were cheering and jumping. The hall became active at once. When the host asked that who can draw a Doraemon which looked like the real one best, all the children rushed onto the stage and started to draw. The best one even got a reward. Later, the movie—“Doraemon —Nobita’s Dinosaur 2006” was played.
The cartoon—“Doraemon” was made by Fujiko F Fujio, Japanese cartoonist, in the 80s of last century. It can be called one of the most valuable brand cartoon images of the 20th century, loved by children all over the world. Now, the Japan Doraemon Studio still keeps making the works of “Doraemon”.
