The playing of Korean Harp, Japanese dancing and Swedish street dancing are on one side and the playing of dragon and lion dance, Chinese knots of Huai'an and hair embroidery of Yancheng are on the other. Recently, international friends from five continents and art performers of Jiangsu all showed their "exclusives" outside of the Olympics Game Center. This is a special free communication activity arranged by the sponsor for the 30-year Anniversary of International Twin Cities, Jiangsu. You can teach me how to play the instrument, and I can teacher you how to play the puppet show. Over 1,000 people home and abroad had a happy time in 2 hours.
The stand of Huai'an Chinese knots was crowed of people all over the world. Helen, from America, was persuading Gu Jin, the stander to let her buy a Chinese knot with a porcelain-pig in the middle. Gu Jin had no choice and said, “If I sell all of them, our stand will be empty.” However, noticing Helen’s eyes full of expectation, Gu Jin decided to give the Chinese knot to her for free. Helen was so happy and surprised that she said “Thank you” in Chinese once and once again.
The communication fair becomes a show stage for international friends as well. Wonderful performances have won thunderous applauses on the spot, such as, Swedish street dancing, folk songs and dancing of Melaka, India, orchestral music played by middle school students of Essex, UK and folk dancing of Free State, South Africa, etc. During the breaks of the performances, art performers home and abroad came down from the stage to chat with the audience.
