From October 16 to October 26, 26 plays will participate in performance apart from 10 exhibition performances and 1 celebration performance in Jiangsu. They are from five continents and 16 countries. As the first world drama in China, all the audience can enjoy the 37 top plays and 60 performances at decent prices at that time.

The 31^st World Drama is the first one which is held in China with the theme "The Tradition and Modern of World Drama". And the invited plays will cover various art forms on the drama stage.

The plays also include 12 Chinese classic works.

During the festival, an international academic symposium will be held with the theme of "The Drama Development in the Globalization". Over 40 drama experts from both home and abroad will gather together to make speeches and raise suggestions for the prosperity and development of the 21^st drama.
