This is a “fierce discussion” about the international finance market. The “The Annual Convention of 2008 International Financing Market Analysis” was held on December 14 in the Purple Golden Mountain Conference Center of Nanjing. It is co-organized by the Finance Institute of State Council Development and Research Center and Nanjing Municipal Government. Zhu Shanlu, Standing Member of CPC Provincial Committee and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee, attended the convention and made an opening toast on behalf of the organizers. Over 400 people attended it and they are international and national experts, scholars and senior managers of financial organizations and government officials, such as economic professors from the Columbia University, Robert Mundell, Nobel Prize Winner in Economics, etc. They have discussed deeply about the theme—“Global Finance Crisis and China’s Strategies”.

Zhu Shanlu said that Nanjing is a historical city full of intelligence. Nanjing sincerely hopes to take this high-level forum on finance as an opportunity to provide a high-end platform for all of us to “discuss strategy and future of development together”. He hoped that more high-end activities in the field of finance could be held in Nanjing so as to lead the development of financial industry and exhibition economy in Nanjing.

On the convention, many guests made speeches about relevant issues of Chinese economic development under the global finance crisis, such as the reason of global finance crisis, counter-strategies, recovery and reconstruction of the international finance market after the crisis and readjustment of the international monetary system, etc. They have also put forward some counter-measures after discussions and communications.
