The “The Annual Convention of 2008 International Financing Market Analysis” was held on December 14 in the Purple Golden Mountain Conference Center of Nanjing. It is co-organized by the Finance Institute of State Council Development and Research Center and Nanjing Municipal Government. Over 400 national and international finance experts, scholars and senior administrators gathered together and they are from Columbia University of America, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Morgan Stanley, etc. They will discuss about adjustments and changes of global financial system, Monetary System and market order as well as countermeasures and strategies of Chinese government, central regulating mechanism and Chinese mainstream financial mechanism, etc. Robert Mundell, Nobel Prize Winner, made a speech on the convention.

The convention was firstly held in Beijing last year. This time it was held in Nanjing which suits the goal of Nanjing to build a regional financial center. In the first half of this year, Nanjing put forward its overall thinking of financial industry and plan a beautiful blueprint for Naning’s future financial development. (Xinhua Newspaper Net)
